America: The empire that pays tribute to Islam as a means to avoid terror attacks
In an ironic turn of historic events, the United States is one of the rare empires in history that actually pays tribute to institutions rather than demanding it from subjugated cultures. Â And the primary nation that Homeland Security provides taxpayer funds to in the hopes of avoiding a terrorist attack is Islam.
Islamic jihadists, funded by either state governments or private benefactors, are the largest perpetrators of violence and terrorism today, and have been at the heart of an exorbitant amount of violent incidents in countries all around the world for well over a decade. Â And despite America’s dedicated ‘War on Terror’, in which they have spent trillions of dollars and thousands of lives fighting, their efforts have done little to stop Islamic terror.
So instead they are now paying Islamic groups to try to keep them from following the doctrines laid out in their own religion.
Thus the Department of Homeland Security, especially under the command of former President Barack Obama, felt that paying off ‘moderate’ Islamic groups would be a worthwhile part of their foreign policy in attempting to stop the proliferation of Islamic extremism.
A California Islamic school wanted to keep an open mind before Donald Trump took office. But less than a month into Trumpâs presidency, the school rejected $800,000 in federal funds aimed at combatting violent extremism.
The decision made late Friday night by the Bayan Claremont graduate schoolâs board to turn down the money â an amount that would cover more than half its yearly budget â capped weeks of sleepless nights and debate. Many there felt Trumpâs rhetoric singling out Islamic extremism and his travel ban affecting predominantly Muslim countries had gone too far.
It also made the school the fourth organization nationwide under the Trump administration to reject the money for a program created under President Barack Obama known as countering violent extremism, or CVE, which officials say aims to thwart extremist groupsâ abilities to recruit would-be terrorists.
A U.S. official said the Trump administration has been discussing changing the Obama administration programâs name, established as a presidential strategy in 2011, to an iteration of âcountering Islamic extremism.â The official, who has knowledge of the discussions, was not authorized to speak publicly about the proposal and spoke on condition of anonymity. – The Burning Platform
The use of tribute to appease warring factions from attacking a country is as old as civilization. Â In fact, during the Dark Ages England and a few other European countries paid massive amounts of tribute to the Vikings in order to keep them from pillaging cities, and at one point in time there was no money remaining within Europe to be able to conduct any form of trade or commerce.
The U.S. has used ‘tribute diplomacy’ of some sort for years, only it’s been under the guise of foreign aid to countries that solidified uneasy alliances as long as the cash spigots were flowing.  But the fact that Washington is also using taxpayer money to appease a religion in the hopes they will not follow their own Book and  spawn new home grow fundamentalist jihadists, shows that the farce that is the ‘War on Terror’ is nothing more than a failed attempt by the U.S. to deal with a problem of their own making.
